Wieder Frankreich, wieder Black Metal und wie immer gewohnte Kost.
Diese frischere Formation Evohe besteht seit ca. 5 Jahren und hat bis jetzt nur zwei Demos veröffentlicht, welche
wohl ganz gut bei der "Underground Black Metal-Presse" als auch bei den Fans ankam. Danach brauchte es auch nicht
mehr lange, um aus der Demoschale zu schlüpfen...
Jedenfalls spielen die Mannen einen, an alte Tage angelehnten, wilden, rhythmischen Stil, der ganz gut mit Gorgoroth
vor'm Millennium zu vergleichen ist. Vor allem der Schreihals klingt verblüffend nach Pest bzw. Hat. Ich möchte
aber meinen, dass die musikalische Darbietung etwas facettenreicher ist. Das heißt ganz einfach abwechslungsreicher,
mit u. a. gelegentlichen Growls und vielleicht auch nicht ganz so verwüstend wie die Norweger.
Na ja, und was soll sonst dabei rauskommen, wenn man seine Band als "The renewal of the french Black-Metal!!"
tituliert? Moderner als Mütiilation klingt's allemal. |

France again, again Black Metal and again familiar fare.
This fresher formation Evohe exists since about five years and published only two demos until now that attained
quite well at Underground Black Metal press and the fans. Afterwards it didn't take long to emerge the
demo-shell...
Anyway, the men play a back to the old days, wild and rhythmic style, comparable quite well with pre-millennium
Gorgoroth. Mainly the squaller stunningly sounds like Pest and Hat respectively. I would like to say that the
musical presentation is a bit more manifold. That means quite simply more varied, with occasional growls and maybe
not as devastating as the Norwegians.
Oh well, what else should occur when you call your band "The renewal of the French Black Metal!!"? It always sounds
more recent than Mütiilation.
