Duch Slovanske Sily (2001)

Mir ist vor einigen Tagen die Debüt LP der tschechischen Black Metal Band INFERNO in die Hände gefallen und ich muss sagen, dass sie mich sichtlich vom Hocker gehauen hat. Die Genialität der Band hat sich ja schon mit der Moonblood/Inferno 7"Split (Sombre Rec.,1999) angebahnt, ich hätte aber nicht gedacht, dass sie die selbst gelegte Latte so einfach übertrumpfen könnten. Zum Glück ist dies aber doch geschehen. 
Der Sound dieser LP ist meines Erachtens sehr gelungen, nicht "zu" roh und nicht "zu" klar. Er passt einfach wie die Faust aufs Auge. Die Gitarren rennen nur so durch die Songs und der Gesang, nicht minder schlecht, nur so hinterher. Die LP strotzt nur so vor Energie. Es überkommt einen das Gefühl, mitten in einer Schlacht zu stehen und dem Kriegsgeschrei zu lauschen, die Schreie der Sterbenden und die Siegeshymnen der Triumphierenden. Leider ist die Band nicht sonderlich bekannt, was sich mit dieser phänomenalen LP sicherlich ändern wird.

Some days ago I got hold of the debut LP of the czech black metal band Inferno, and I have to say that it really blew me away. The brilliancy of this band already emerged within the Moondblood/Inferno 7" split (Sombre Rec. 1999), but I never thought that they can trump their levelling staff that easy. However and luckily this happend. 
In my opinion the sound on this LP is felicitous, not too "raw" and not too "clear". It simply fits perfectly. The guitars rush through the songs and the voice, not inferior, afterwards. The LP teems with energy. You get the feeling of standing right inside a battle listening to the battlecalls, the screams of the dying and the fanfares of the victors. It's a pity this band isn't know very well but I'm sure this will change with this phenomenal LP.
