Jawoll, hier geht's zur Sache! Zugegeben, so wirklich begeistern konnten Horna bisher nicht, was auch
kaum verwunderlich "Viha Ja Viikate" als einziges Album recht unbeachtet in meiner Sammlung verweilen lässt. Wirklich nutzbringende Vergleiche zu älteren Releases hab' ich nämlich somit nicht anzubringen.
Ist auch nicht nötig, "Envaatnags Eflos Solf Esgantaavne" haut mich nämlich ziemlich aus den Socken. Eingängiger, rotzgiftiger Black Metal, der
einen Orden für Eingängigkeit verdient hat.
So viele geile Schrammeleien bzw. Melodien gab's auf einem Album dieser Sparte lange nicht mehr. Erfreuend ist in dem Zusammenhang natürlich, dass sämtliche Lieder vor Dreck förmlich bröckeln, aber trotzdem nur gemäßigt zu offensichtliche Thrash-Einflüsse offenbaren. Klasse! Dafür gibt es aber leidenschaftliche Gitarrenläufe, einen formidablen Sound, der selbst weniger Untergründliche
vor'm Angstschweiß bewahrt, aber trotzdem ursprünglich daherknistert. Oder wiederum grimmige Vocals und stampfendes Gedrumme. Letztendlich entsteht hier einfach urige Dramatik, die in meinen Augen ganz simpel die Hauptessenz von Black Metal darstellt. Zumindest emotional... Denn selbst eine gewisse Moderne hielt auf "Envaatnags Eflos Solf Esgantaavne" Einzug. So grooven die Songs stattlich aus der Anlage und überraschen mit rockiger Trueness. Allem voran stehen jedoch die, nochmals erwähnten, tollen
Strukturierungen bzw. Aufbauten inklusive ihrer originellen Melodisierung, die teils sogar
gewillt ist, einen Hauch von Schwermut mit sich zu führen. Vergleiche liegen mir hier also ganz bewusst fern, denn mit "Envaatnags Eflos Solf Esgantaavne" hab ich Horna für mich entdeckt. Eine, wenn auch nicht ewig bedachte, aber sehr wohl geile Scheibe, also lasst sie euch schmecken!

Yes! This is it! I have to admit that Horna couldn't really enthuse me until now, this is the reason why the only
Horna album I possess only lingers unnoticed in my collection. So I cannot provide any profitable comparisons.
Well I think I don't need them at all because "Envaatnags Elfos Solf Esgantaavne" simply blows me away. Catchy,
venomous Black Metal, which deserves a medal for catchyness. So many great tracks respectively melodies on a single
album, I haven't seen this for a while. Another joyful thing is that those songs teems of dirt but never really
display their thrash influences. Great! Instead you get fierce guitar riffs, formidable sound which doesn't make
anyone afraid but still sounds original. Or grim vocals and pitching drumming. Finally Horna create ancient dramatic
art which is, in my eyes, the main essence of Black Metal. At least emotional... Because even on "Envaatnags Elfos
Solf Esganataavne" there's a hint of modernism. So the songs are grooving out of your stereo and surprise with
rocking trueness. Ahead of all are, once again, the great structures respectively superstructures including their
inventive melodies which sometimes create something like dejection. Knowingly I won't draw any comparisons because
with "Envaatnags Elfos Solf Esgantaavne" I discovered Horna as somethin new for me. A great release, maybe not for
eternity but still a great production. So enjoy it!
